'Princess' of the night

Dr. Adrian Torre designed the L'Fisher La Proa Ballroom to look like a replica of Buckingham Palace for the 18th birthday of Casey Olive Flores Yanson, the third daughter of Roy and Susan Yanson. Rene Hinojales planned everything, while Al Melgar provided the script and Rene Ugapon, the MTVs.

The debutante is a first year college student of the University of St. La Salle Bacolod.

A huge birthday cake was placed at the entrance of La Proa. It was a miniature palace, and the theme of the celebration was "Shakespeare In Love". All visitors came dressed to the nines. The party started with the entrance of good looking men in ruffles, looking like gentlemen in the court of King Philip, and beautiful young ladies, followed by the family, and then the debutante riding a golden carriage pulled by friends all wearing masks. Next to Casey, looking regal and lovely was grandma Olive dressed like a queen, in a stunning red gown. Sister Mel and cousin Steph sang the invocation, followed by delicious dinner.

The "Eighteen Treasures," the favorite and most significant to Casey, was followed by 18 candles of greeting and best wishes. The celebrator's life story was shown, follow from her toddler years to becoming a blooming young debutante.

Since grandma Nening Flores was not available, she sent her best wishes, luck and lots of love and best in life to Casey. All the stunning gowns worn by the Yanson siblings were by couturier Lourdes Lipa.

Grupo Mari Teves provided the entertainment and there was dancing through the night.

REMEMBER: "Brighten your day, lighten your way, and lessen your cares with daily prayer"*
