The body of a 60-year-old Filipino-American bearing multiple stab wounds was found at his residence in Purok Rosal, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City at about 7 a.m. yesterday.

Antonio Millarva Pathy, alias "Kano", whose business involved accepting pawned appliances and lending money, was found bathe in his own blood in his living room. Pathy was in his underwear when his body was found, Senior Insp. Jonathan Lorilla, Precinct 6 commander, yesterday told the DAILY STAR.

Lorilla said Pathy sustained an injury on his head believed to be hit with a hard object and multiple stab wounds on his chest.moremoremore

Pirates have victimized the crew of numerous fishing vessels in Iloilo, too, MARICOM regional director Cornelio Salinas says*

Multiple raps are poised against five alleged "pirates" apprehended by a Negrense fishing crew off the coast of Isla de Higantes in Iloilo after others they also "victimized" positively identified them and are preparing separate suits, Supt. Norberto Boston, Cadiz police chief, said yesterday.

The police and the Maritime Command are calling on all those who have fallen victim to extortion activities of sea pirates to check if the five nabbed are the same people who victimized them for the filing of cases.

4 killed, 17 injured
in two mishaps

Four persons were killed and 17 others were injured in separate road accidents in Negros Occidental and Iloilo in the last two days. A driver of a cargo truck and a student of the Philippine Normal University died, while four others were injured following a triple collision yesterday in Brgy. Paraiso, Sagay City.

The fatalities were identified by the police as Joemarie Leones, a driver of a prime mover trailer cargo truck, and Dona Belle Aro, 17, a female student of the PNU in Cadiz City.

Information gathered by RGMA Super Radyo at the crime scene showed that the traffic accident involved a Ford cargo truck, a prime mover trailer driven by Leones, and a mini-bus.moremoremore
