Deadline for BPO work
scholarships set May 26

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Negros Occidental Provincial Office announced that the deadline for registration of applicants for the PGMA Training for Work Scholarships will be tomorrow, May 26.

The scholarship is open to those applying for jobs in the business process outsourcing industry, 18 to 55 years old, who are at least high school graduate.

TESDA Region VI has 300 slots available for call center agents and 150 slots for medical transcriptionists.

Those applying as contact center agents and medical transcriptionists who fell short of the hiring standards or "near hires," or those who did not qualify because of lack of competency and skills required by the job are encouraged to apply.

The government has allocated P500 million for 100,000 scholars all over the country.*
