MassKara dancers join festival

The Bacolod City MassKara Street Dancers will perform in the 4th Mantawi Festival of Madaue City, Cebu, tomorrow, a City Hall press release said.

The contingent was invited to present a special exhibition number, and join in their street parade.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, Councilor Homer Bais and Tourism officers Imogene Kana-an and Elma Gerasmo will also join the celebration.

Last year, Bacolod was also invited to the Mantawi Festival, and this will be their third. The Mantawi Festival, a rediscovery of Mandaue City's rich cultural heritage, is a celebration about the legend of the vine that grew abundantly in the cove called "Mantawi."

Bohol is also inviting the MassKara Street Dancers on July 23 to 30, in its Sandugo Festival celebration, the press release added.*
