No pending admin
case against me
BY GILBERT BAYORAN

Murcia Mayor Esteban Coscolluela yesterday denied that he has a pending administrative case filed by Councilor Helen Clavecillas before the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental.

"This statement is premature and misleading. I have no knowledge of any administrative case by Clavecillas against me as I have not received any order or communication from the Sangguniang Panlalawigan," he said.

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental dismissed on Wednesday the administrative complaints for grave abuse of authority filed against Coscolluela and Murcia municipal treasurer Inocentes Conte.

However, the dismissal of the administrative charges against Coscolluela and Conte specifies that it is without prejudice to the filing of complaints against them at the appropriate forum, Board Member Corazon Diploma, chairperson of the SP committee on Laws and Ordinances, said.

The complaints against Coscolluela and Conte which had been dismissed by the SP stemmed from the claims of Lina Lazanas that the Murcia mayor and his municipal treasurer were collecting market rentals, in the absence of any ordinance, which the two denied.*GPB
