The Dumaguete City Market Enterprise Office will start issuing citation tickets tomorrow, to stall owners and ambulant vendors who continue to violate ordinances and market rules and regulations.

Market enterprise chief Jose Ronnie Fortin said that Mayor Agustin Perdices has deputized the members of the market task force to issue the tickets against violating vendors inside the city public market complex.

Fortin explained that ambulant vendors have been given their own area for peddling their items to avoid competing with regular stall operators.

He warned that stallholders and violators caught violating market rules and regulations will be issued citation tickets.

The market officer said that the system could be the solution to complaints against the market task force, which is constantly criticized for running after ambulant vendors and penalizing stall owners who do not comply with market rules.*RG
