RMG trooper probed
for shooting comrade

The Mabinay police are now investigating a trooper of the Regional Mobile Group who allegedly shot his fellow patrol team member, recently.

Senior Insp. Richard Oliver, commanding officer of the 1st Regional Mobile Company sought the probe to determine whether there was foul play in the shooting.

Oliver had disarmed PO1 Jenchard Ibabao whose M16 armalite rifle hit PO1 Reyson Palomar in the buttocks.

Ibabao was immediately placed under the custody of the Mabinay PNP.

Palomar is now recuperating at the Silliman University Medical Center in Dumaguete City.*
