Senior Insp. Ma. Cecilia Detablan, regional chief of the Investigation
and Detection Management of the Philippine National Police, yesterday
met with Bacolod City police office director Senior Supt. Pedro

that is intended to enhance the investigative function of the PNP
in crime prevention.
Deatablan met with Merced, Supt. Pedrito Escarilla, chief of
the Bacolod Intelligence and Investigation Section, and Supt. Harold
Tuzon at the BCPO headquarters. He said the IDM is aimed to set
minimum qualification standards for PNP personnel to be eligible
for assignment at the different IDM offices and to boost the morale
of PNP personnel.
The IDM consists of five units-- Investigation Unit, Detective
Management Unit, Criminal Records Management and Evidence Unit and
Pre-charge Investigation Unit, she said.
She said the Investigation Unit has five desks, namely Crimes
against Persons Desk, Crimes against Property Desk, Frauds, Economic
and Cyber Crimes Desk, Women and Children's Concern Desk and General
Investigation Desk.
Detablan said she has identified 30 Bacolod officers from the
10 police precincts and 14 others from the BCPO quarters who are
qualified to be detectives and investigators of the IDM office.
Merced said the set-up of the IDM will enhance the effectivity
