A night to remember

It was a night to remember for members of a Junior class at the L'Fisher Hotel in Bacolod City, recently.

Class governor, Nixee's mother Jocelyn Garcia was the overall coordinator.

Invitations were in French, and said ladies should be in Paris-inspired gowns, and the gentlemen, in barong and coat-and-tie.

Roseller Ciocon III, the class vice governor, gave the invocation while governor Dominique Garcia gave the words of welcome.

Janette Sanchez choreographed three dances -- Wine, Women and Song, Roses of the South, and the Tales from the Vienna Woods.

The Juniors practiced at the residence of RC Ciocon.

Those voted to receive special awards were: happiest couple of the night: Melissa Cayetano and Kenny Zaldariaga; cutest couple: RC Ciocon and Gianina Grey; sweetest couple: Julius Juen and Lara Hepper; funniest couple -- Stevie Zayco and Ivy Salsalida; most inseparable -- Alex Gamboa and Iggy Villanueva; most refined -- Dominique Garcia and Jason Abello; most compatible -- Inna Javier and Orville Lauveņa; and most controversial -- Irvin Anglo and Bea Lizares.

Bands GMT and Ful Flava provided music up to the wee hours of the morning courtesy of Gerry Grey, Gianina's dad.

Congratulations to the newly elected officers of the Student Affairs Council: president - R.C. Ciocon; vice president - Julius Juen; secretary - Nicole Miranda; treasurer - Iggy Villanueva; and P.R.O., Jio Henares*

Remember: "To love to teach is one thing, to love those you teach is quite another."
