The Philippine Air Force is now in need of additional manpower.

Interested applicants to be an airman or airwoman of the " First Force" should be a natural-born Filipino citizen, between 18 and 25 before the start of training on June 23 this year, single and with no obligation to support a child, 5 feet and 2 inches of female and 5 feet and 4 inches for male, at least 2nd year in college, physically and mentally fit for active military service and of good moral character and habits, the Philippine Air Force, in a statement, said.

Applicants who hurdle the rigid mental and physical examinations are slated to undergo a six-month training as an Air Force Candidate Soldier at the Basic Military Training School, Air Education and Training Command at Fernando Air Base, Lipa City, Batangas.

For the Visayas applicants, they are required to submit an authenticated copy of their birth certificate, college diploma or transcript of records and 2x2 photo to an Air Force Processing Center at Mactan Benito Ebuen Air Base in Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu.

The examination for Visayan applicants is on April 7 at the Mactan Air Base in Cebu. Upon graduation from basic military training, candidates will join the Air Force Enlisted Personnel Corps as an airman or airwoman, and will be assigned in the different Air Force units in the country.*GPB
