Pulupandan, USLS spikers collide in
quarters of NOVA U-16 division

Powerhouse Pulupandan clashes with University of St. La Salle at 3:30 p.m. today in the 16-Under boys' quarterfinal round of the 16th Negros Occidental Volleyball Association-NOCSF Age-Group Volleyball Championship at the USLS College Covered Court in Bacolod City.

Pulupandan finished as the top seed in the eliminations of Bracket B with 5-0 win-loss record, while La Salle is the top squad in Bracket A with a 4-0 slate.

University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Talisay will collide with Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod at 8:30 a.m., while the Silay City spikers will battle St. Benilde School at 9:30 a.m. In the quarterfinals of the 16-Under girls' category, Silay City will clash with Negros Occidental High School at 1:30 p.m.

The NOHS and Silay City volleybelles enter the quarterfinal round as the top seeds in Groups A and B, respectively, after registering 5-0 win-loss cards in their brackets.

La Salle will tussle with La Carlota in the other 16-Under girls' quarterfinal clash at 10:30 a.m., before CSA-B faces Bata National High School at 11:30 a.m. Both games are set in Court 1. The 14-Under boys' team of Silay City, champion in the recent Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association Meet, will play NOHS at 10:30 a.m., before USLS meets La Consolacion College-Main at 11:30 a.m. Both encounters will be showcased in Court 2.

Quarterfinal matches will also take place today in the 14-Under girls' and 12-Under boys and girls' categories of the age-group tournament.*CIT
