Celebrations
A thanksgiving celebration was held for the birthday of Vanessa
Rubin Ho, who passed the board examination for Registered Nurses
in Bacolod City, recently.
Van has also just finished her four-day seminar in the Cursillo
in Christianity. A Computer Science graduate of the University of
St. La Salle, she completed her Nursing course at West Negros College.
Her mom, Charry, and favorite auntie, Rose Rubin Lopez, helped
her welcome and entertain her classmates, friends and relatives.
Our Cursillo group, once young, just enjoyed watching the energy
of the good-looking toddlers who entertained us with their antics.
To Van, I sincerely hope your dreams will come true.

Hiroshi Ishiguro and Mary Joy decided to seal their love as they
renewed their wedding vows for the second time around. They first
married in civil rites held in Pasay City.
They again exchanged "I dos" in a unique wedding ceremony on March
17, that started at noon and ended at about 3 p.m.
Principal sponsors were Sato Shi and Desiree Yoshida. The groom
hails from Nagoya, Japan and the bride from Granada Heights, Bacolod
City.
Hopefully, they will open a business here, after their visit in
Japan.
Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds.

Congratulations to my nephew Keifer Piccio, son of Leizl and Jake
Piccio, for winning seven gold medals in the Western Visayas Regional
Athletic Association Meet held in Roxas City.
He won in the 50-meter backstroke, freestyle and butterly events;
100-meter backstroke and freestyle; and 4 x 10-meter freestyle relay
and medley events - achievements a proud tita cannot ignore.*
Remember: "Today answer God's call as you thrill to the awakening
of slumbering earth."
