Solid Strikers take lead

Barangay I Active Solid Strikers stayed on top in the men's division, as Lady Circle kept the women's corner, of the Knights of Columbus Invitational Open Bowling Championship at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Bowling Alley in Bacolod City.

The group led by Capt. Sammy Gaitan, accumulated 4,686 pinfalls in the 10-team cast.

Negros Professional Bowlers Club led by Gil Villagante occupied the second spot with 4,639.

Sharp has 4,619 for third, followed by Bago City Bowlers Association Plaza Arcade, 4,611; Panasonic, 4,595; TC Silverado/Solid Strikers, 4,561; Condura, 4,529; Urban Knights, 3,193; K of C Mulo Aircon, 2,961, and K of C Sharp, 2,961. Lady Circle is leading in the women's bracket with 2,784 followed by ON-BACIBA I with 2,695.

Other scores: Firefly 2,667;Lady Dragon 2,641; NPBC Kusina Trese, 2,632; Team Justice, 2,427, and ON-BACIBA II, 744.

Hostilities will resume tonight at 6:30 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Negros Professional Bowlers Club-organized "Cebuana Lhuillier Summer Cup" was rescheduled to start April 18 at the Goldenfield Super Bowling Lanes in Bacolod City.*HLG
