to answer 'cheating' charges
BY CHRISTIAN IRL TAN

The Department of Education has given coach Narciso Jayme of the Negros secondary boys' baseball squad a Friday deadline to explain his side on the fielding of an ineligible player during the Western Visayas Regional Athletics Association Meet in Roxas City, Eva Belicena, Negros Occidental Schools Division superintendent, said yesterday.

Belicena said she will send a memorandum to Jayme, coach of Dr. Antonio Lizares Memorial High School in Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, ordering him to appear before the Negros Occidental DepEd within three days to justify his action.

Jayme allegedly fielded an over-aged player who was not included in the initial line-up submitted by the Negros high school boys' baseball team to the WVRAA screening committee, resulting in the forfeiture of all the games played by the Negrenses.
