Bacolod man
gunned down
BY RENE GENOVE

A 59-year-old resident of Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, was gunned down inside a house in Brgy. Kauswagan, Manjuyod, Oriental Negros during a heated argument during the weekend.

A report yesterday identified the slain man as Leland Decena, 59, married of 39 A. Roxas Avenue, Bacolod City and the suspect as a certain Delfin Remotice, 53, a resident of the barangay. The suspect's wife, Jasmine, told investigators that before the incident, her husband and the suspect were inside the house of a certain Edito Odani.

She said she left the house minutes after her husband and Decena started arguing about something and the argument became heated.

Later, Jasmine said, she heard a gunshot and when she returned to the house she found Decena lying on the kitchen floor, bleeding and apparently dead.

She said her husband was not around when she found the body.*RG
