Silay, USLS down rivals in
NOVA age-group tilt

Silay City and University of St. La Salle posted contrasting victories in the 16-Under boys' competitions of the 16th Negros Occidental Volleyball Association-NOCSF Age-Group Volleyball Championship at the USLS Covered Court in Bacolod City Saturday.

The Silay spikers smashed Maranatha Christian College, 25-7, 25-23, while the La Sallians came-from-behind to register a 23-25, 25-17, 25-17 triumph over St. Benilde School.

University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Talisay demolished Mansilingan Christian Academy, 25-9, 25-14, as La Consolacion College-Main trampled St. Theresita's Academy, 25-17, 25-11.

The La Carlota City volleybelles defeated MCA-Bacolod Tay Tung High School, 25-18, 25-23, in the 16-Under girls' division, while SBS-St. Joseph's School La Salle ripped MCC, 25-23, 25-5. Bata National High School scored an impressive 25-14, 25-6 win over Bacolod Christian Education and Center School as STA escaped EB Magalona, 25-18, 16-25, 25-23.

In the 14-Under boys' category, LCC-Main outlasted USLS, 25-20, 22-25, 25-20, while Negros Occidental High School drubbed La Carlota, 25-18, 25-20. SJS-La Salle rallied past Silay, 12-25, 25-12, 25-23, in the lone encounter scheduled in the 14-Under girls' hostilities.

Pulupandan prevailed over EELMS, 26-24, 25-16, in the 12-Under boys' division, while La Consolacion Academy-Murcia beat La Salle, 25-13, 25-18. La Carlota crushed St. Rose of Lima School, 25-20, 25-13, in the 12-Under girls' category. *CIT
