Two Bacolod residents reported to the Bacolod police they were held up by unidentified persons at knifepoint in Bacolod City Saturday.

Mariano Jesus Ramirez, 20, single, of Celine Homes, Fortune Towne, Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City reported to Police Precinct 8 that two men on a motorcycle approached him and his companion Krisha Velasquez when they alighted from a tricycle at Alijis Road at about 4:30 a.m. Saturday, police reports said.

Ramirez said one of the suspects got off the motorcycle, poked an unidentified bladed weapon at them and declared a hold-up, police reports said.

He said the hold-upper took his bag containing his school I.D., eyeglasses, personal things, Seiko silver wristwatch, gold necklace and P350 in cash, police reports said.

Ramirez said one of the suspects stands about 5 feet and 5 inches tall, has a medium build and was brown in complexion, police reports also said.

Meanwhile, Indian national Jagtar Tajpur Singh, 35, married, of Homesite, Brgy. Montevista, Bacolod City reported to Police Precinct 6 that two unidentified persons on a red motorcycle approached him while he was waiting for the payment of his client Alany Alayon at Gonzaga Extension at about 10 a.m. Saturday.

Singh said one of the suspects pointed a bladed weapon at him and took his P10,000 collection, police reports said.*DMG

Man arrested for carnapping

A Bacolod resident was arrested by Precinct 6 policemen for allegedly taking the tricycle of a man at Doņa Juliana Subdivision, Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City at about 12:30 p.m. yesterday.

Detained at Police Precinct 6 was Feleciano Refuela Leagoso, 33, married, of 79-A-Rizal streets in Bacolod City for violation of Republic Act 6538, or the Anti-Carnapping Law, police reports said.

Tricycle driver Ramie Magbato told the police he was in Doņa Juliana Subdivision with his companion, Joseph Rivas, when Leagoso flagged him down, police reports said.

Magbato said Leagosa suddenly punched him in the face and poked a bladed weapon at Rivas, police reports said.

He said Leagosa ordered them to alight and boarded the motorcycle. He said they immediately sought help from Police Precinct 6.

The tricycle that was positively identified as his by Magbato was later recovered by the police in a hot-pursuit operation at 1st Road Fuentebella Subdivision, Brgy. Taculing in Bacolod City yesterday, police reports also said.*DMG
