Mandatory drug test pushed

A joint anti-drug awareness program for about 180 persons was held at the Consuelo Algers Community Center, Brgy. Rizal, in San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, recently, a press release from the city government said yesterday.

The project was jointly sponsored by the San Carlos government, Negros Occidental Sanggunian and the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, in cooperation of the West Negros College Supreme Student Council in Bacolod City, Media Advocates for Reproductive Health Empowerment and the Negros Defense Press Corps.

The participants were teachers, students and parents. Also present were Supt. Ricardo de la Paz, police city chief, and Babette Diaz of the SP Legislative division, the press release said, adding that San Carlos Mayor Eugenio Jose Lacson read the pledge of commitment of the city.*
