11 teams confirm
entry in 10-Under tilt
BY CHRISTIAN IRL TAN

Eleven squads are eyeing the championship of the 2nd Basketball Unified Sports Group-Panasonic 10-Under basketball tournament that will start on March 26 at the Po Hang Gym of Bacolod Tay Tung High School.

Teams that will see action in the tournament are defending champion BTTHS, St. John's Institute-A and B, University of St. La Salle-A and B, and St. Rose of Lima School.

Also signifying their entry in the event were Trinity Christian School, Jack and Jill School, St. Scholastica's Academy, Mansilingan Christian Academy and Victorias City-based Don Bosco Technical Institute.

BUS Group advicer Bing Soyao said the cagers of SJI-B and La Salle-B will not be able to qualify for the semifinal round even if they have better standings than the other squads because they will only be considered as guest teams.

The coaches and team representatives, who had a meeting at the Apollo restaurant yesterday, will have a final meeting on March 21 at 5:30 p.m. at the same venue to submit their final line-ups, Soyao said.

The players should be born on or after Jan. 1, 1996 to be eligible to compete in the tournament that will adopt a single round robin format, he added. *CIT
