SRA to hold sugar
farm mng't training

The Sugar Regulatory Administration will conduct a Sugarcane Farm Management Training for 50 selected members of Negros Women for Tomorrow Foundation Inc. on March 20 to 22 at the Balay OPSI at SRA La Granja in La Carlota City, a press release from SRA said.

The training, which is under the Outreach Program for the Sugar Industry, will be attended by micro crop personnel and agrarian reform beneficiaries, it said.

SRA Administrator James Ledesma will be the guest speaker while the technical staff of the Research and Extension Services Department and the Industrial Research and Development Office of the SRA regional office will be the resource persons, the press release said.

The training will be a combination of lecture/discussion and practical demonstrations of specific technologies on the following topics: Recommended Cultural Management Practices in Sugarcane, Variety and Variety Programming, Liming and Fertilization, Organic Farming, Prevention and Control of Sugarcane Diseases, Farm Management, Cost Reduction Measures, and Sugarcane Processing, the press release added.*
