Officials lament lack
of NSAT test books
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Department of Education in Oriental Negros is lamenting the lack of test booklets for the National Assessment Test from first to fourth year high school students in the province.

Of the 1,403 examinees for the NSAT at the Negros Oriental High School, only 863 test booklets have arrived, raising doubts as to why that should happen when the national office is aware of the number of students as shown in enrolment records.

Local DepEd officials were surprised at the lack of forms while, at the same time, there is an excess of forms and materials for textbooks for the bridge class, which is optional, Dr. Virgilio Dalion, education supervisor I and division testing coordinator, said. NOHS principal Luz Buņol said she does not want to speculate because the lack of forms was also experienced in other provinces.

To address this, the DepEd Oriental Negros division conducted the examination in two days to accommodate the incoming students.*JG
