Silay City disposed St. Benilde School-St. Joseph's School-La
Salle, 25-12, 25-14, Saturday for its fifth victory in the 16-Under
girls' category of the 16th Negros Occidental Volleyball Association-NOCSF
Age-Group Volleyball Championship at the University of St. La Salle-Integrated
School Covered Court in Bacolod City.
The Negros Occidental High School volleybelles rallied past
USLS, 25-27, 25-17, 25-18, Saturday and smashed Bacolod Christian
Education Center School, 25-18, 25-7, yesterday to improve to an
unscathed 4-0 slate.
Colegio de San Agustin-Bacolod and La Carlota City demolished
Maranatha Christian College, 25-9, 25-3, and La Consolacion College-Main,
25-20, 25-9, respectively, to register their third wins each.
Also scoring triumphs in the 16-Under girls' category were
Bata National High School, LCC-Main, Mansilingan Christian Academy-Bacolod
Tay Tung High School and SBS-SJS.
In the 16-Under boys' division, Silay pounded EB Magalona,
25-20, 25-28, while University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos Talisay
hammered LCC-Main, 25-15, 25-19.
CSA-B beat SJS-La Salle, 25-17, 26-24, while the La Sallians
posted an impressive 25-12, 25-8 victory over Silay-based St. Theresita's
Academy.
The NOHS spikers defeated USLS, 25-21, 25-20, Saturday in the
14-Under boys' competitions, while Mansilingan downed St. Benilde,
25-19, 25-20, in the 14-Under girls' category yesterday.
St. Rose of Lima School outlasted SBS, 25-14, 23-25, 25-8,
in the 12-Under girls' hostilities, while La Carlota subdued USLS,
25-13, 25-20. La Consolacion Academy-Murcia registered a 25-11,
22-25, 25-12 tirumph against La Salle in the 12-Under boys' division.
In the 10-Under boys' play, reigning NOPSSCEA champion Queen
of Peace School-A thrashed EELMS, 25-13, 25-5, and EB Magalona,
25-17, 25-20, to sweep its weekend assignments. Also winning were
St. Augustine International School and LCA-Murcia.
EB Magalona trampled SAIS, 25-10, 25-11, in the 10-Under girls'
category, while St. John's Institute crushed USLS-A, 25-13, 25-12.
QPS-A and La Salle-B also scored victories over the weekend. *CIT
