Love at first sight

LA VIDA NEGRENSE

It was love at first sight for Tinto Bascon, son of hotelier Oscar and Himamaylan Mayor Carminia Gatuslao-Bascon, who wed Dr. Judy Ochavo, the lady who "swept him off his feet" the moment he met her. She is the daughter of Violeta Ledesma-Ochavo and the late Felixberto Ochavo. Tinto and Judy were united in the sacrament of holy matrimony at the Queen of Peace Church. The bride was beautiful and radiant in her fully-beaded gown as she walked down the aisle. The ceremony was officiated by Fr. Narciso dela Cruz, Fr. Jude Serfino and Fr. Martin Brodit.

Everyone enjoyed the reception at the skyroom of Bascon Hotel. It was a night of celebration and enjoyment as relatives and friends danced the night away to their favorite tunes.

Tinto recalls that the most unforgettable moment in his life was the time he was admitted to the hospital. It was then that he met the lady of his dreams. The moment the beautiful lady doctor entered his hospital room, "I was swept off my feet" says Tinto. She was then an intern of Dr. Ricardo Yusay. "Right after that, I sent her flowers" recalls Tinto. She had a boyfriend then so, Tinto left for the States later. After five months, he returned and asked her, as a friend, if she was already married. She said no, and a day after his arrival from the States they had a date and the rest is history. Now, he is married to the one he believes is the most beautiful woman and who will share her life with him.

Judy, meanwhile, says Tinto is God-fearing, loving, caring and a very supportive person. He never ceases to nurture their relationship, while treating her like a princess, she says.*
