K of C bowlfest starts

The Invitational Bowling Tournament of the Knights of Columbus Council 5665 reels off tonight at the New Top's Millennium Plaza Bowling Alley in Bacolod City.

Tournament committee chairman Tony Cacho said hostilities will start at 6:30 p.m.

The event is an 8-scheduled game tournament where the top three teams in three divisions to be contested will play in an up-the-ladder system to determine the champion. It is co-sponsored by Sharp Philippines.

For a registration fee of P1,000 in the men's class A five-man bracket, the top three winners will receive P6,500, champion; P5,000, first runner-up, and second, P4,000. In bracket B, the champion will be bringing home, P3,000; P2,000 and P1,500 for the first and second runners-up.

It will be a trio contest in the women's category, with an entry fee of P750.

Up for grabs for the first placer is P3,500; second, P2,000, and third, P1,500.

The individual winners such as the records holders, top 10 bowlers, top qualifier, and the team record holders will also be awarded.*HLG
