The Commission on Audit has requested the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod to provide it with certain documents pertaining to the P9 million fund given by the city to the Bacolod Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee.

This was due to request of the SP for an audit on the P9 million counterpart fund given by the city for the 23rd Southeast Asian Games in Bacolod City.

State Auditor Shiela Velmonte-Portal, in her letter to the SP dated March 1, requested for a copy of the memorandum of understanding between the Bacolod City government and the Philippine Southeast Asian Games Organizing Committee dated July 29, 2005.

She also requested for copies of the July 26, 2005 letter of PhilSoc chairman Roberto Pagdanganan and Vice-chairman Jose Cojuangco Jr., as well as, the financial report and supporting documents of BaSoc on the P9 million counterpart given by the city, including bank reconciliation statements and copy of the bank statement.*CGS
