Bodol-bodol
sketches posted
BY DONALYN GUERRERO

Posters bearing facial sketches of eight suspected members of "Bodol-bodol" gang, or swindlers were distributed in conspicuous areas in Bacolod City to warn the public, Senior Supt. Pedro Merced, Bacolod City police director said yesterday.

The posters bore the images of five men and three women identified only by their aliases, and aging from about 30 to 65 years old.

They included those of a certain "Benigno Yapsingco" and a 50-year-old man who victimized Bacolod lawyer Luz Dato-Lacson on Feb. 15.

Meanwhile, the sketches of the couple identified as "Bunny Alcantara", alias "Lei" and a certain Cyra Alcantara, who also use aliases such as "Ana", "Mabelle" and "Maalat", suspects in the swindling of eight Bacolod residents in the city on Feb 15 are also in the poster.

Also found in the poster were the facial sketches of "Mary Ann De la Cruz", "Mr. Torres" and a 40-year-old woman.

Most of the persons in the poster speak Tagalog fluently and Cebuano and looked like decent persons.

Merced said posters were disseminated because he believes the culprits are still in Bacolod and are waiting for another chance to operate.

The posters were distributed in public places such as public markets, banks, schools, malls and other public places, he said.

He also appealed to the public to be vigilant and report any information that could led to the identification and whereabouts of these persons to Patrol 166 or 433-6566, or contact cellphone number 09106996179 or 09177015588.*DMG
