Church janitor molested us,
three minors report to cops
BY DONALYN GUERRERO

Three elementary students were reportedly molested by a janitor in a church near a public school in Bacolod City at about 11 a.m. Monday.

The students, whose names were withheld by the police, narrated that during their lunchtime, they decided to play in the churchyard when a certain "Junior" approached and molested them, police reports said.

A woman standing near the church while waiting for her child to come out from the school, told the police she saw "Junior" in the act of kissing and molesting the girls, who are in grades 1, 2, and 3, respectively, ABS-CBN reported.

She said she shouted and this drove the suspect to flee. She said she brought the children back to the school and reported the incident to their parents.

The students were brought to the Bacolod City Health Office for medical examination yesterday, police reports said

Some parents whose students are also studying in the same elementary school expressed apprehensions over the safety and security of their children, following the incident, reports said.

Meanwhile, Dr. Santiago Samyon III, school principal, yesterday told ABS-CBN Bacolod, that the school has no responsibility over the incident because the alleged molestation happened outside the vicinity of the school compound.*DMG
