West Negros College yesterday said its students' passing rate
in the December 2005 nursing board examination was the highest among
the four nursing schools in Negros Occidental and fourth among the
12 schools in Western Visayas.
The national passing percentage was 52 percent.
The passing rate among the 12 nursing schools according to
WNC was: West Visayas State University in Iloilo City - 100 percent,
University of San Agustin - Iloilo City - 84 percent, Central Philippine
University - Iloilo - 84 percent, WNC-Bacolod City - 73 percent,
University of St. La Salle-Bacolod City - 67 percent, Iloilo Doctor's
College-Iloilo City - 56 percent, Riverside College-Bacolod City
- 53 percent, St. Gabriel College in Kalibo, Aklan - 49 percent,
St. Anthony's College in Roxas City, Capiz, - 47 percent, College
de San Agustin in Bacolod City - 45 percent, University of Iloilo
- 43 percent and Filamer Christian College in Roxas City - 38 percent.
Meanwhile, one of the three of the WNC graduates who took the
December nursing board examination in 20th place among the topnotcher
examinees is Felman Trecho Rubin and not Runin as reported yesterday.*CPG
