Mambukal challenges
BY NANETTE GUADALQUIVER

The stars descended on Mambukal yesterday.

The cast of GMA-7's sitcom, "Lagot Ka, Isusumbong Kita," led by Richard Gomez and Joey Marquez went to Mambukal Resort yesterday to tape an episode that featured the attractions of the premiere mountain resort of Negros Occidental.

Gomez and Marquez came with co-stars Raymart Santiago, Benjie Paras, Maureen Larrazabal, Alicia Mayer, Vangie Labalan, Bearwin Meily, Ryza Cenon, Cristine Reyes and Pilita Corales.

The Provincial Tourism Office said the group arrived in Bacolod late morning and proceeded to Mambukal Resort where they had lunch.

They were welcomed by Board Member Edgardo Acuņa and Pag-ugyon Negros Foundation president Nestor Jalandoni Jr.

At about 1 p.m., Gomez, Marquez and their co-stars, who were divided into two teams, embarked on various challenges that brought them to Mambukal's favorite locations such as the Boating Lagoon and Slide for Life. They also went swimming and rapelling.

The stars later on danced with the Mudpack Festival performers and the Pasalamat drumbeaters.

The staff of "Lagot Ka, Isusumbong Kita," headed by director Boyong Baytion, said they came to Mambukal to show to their audience that there are beautiful places in Negros Occidental.

After about four hours in Mambukal, the cast and the crew left for Iloilo.*NLG
