2 teeners face robbery,
seduction raps
by DONALYN GUERRERO

The Bacolod police is preparing charges of robbery and seduction of minors, instead of rape with robbery against two teenagers who reportedly molested two deaf-mute women in Brgy. 35, Bacolod City Monday.

Chief Insp. Jimmy Fortaleza, Police Precinct 1 commander, said their investigation showed that the women consented to go with the teenagers, whose names are still being withheld by the police.

Initial police investigation also showed that the women complained of rape to Police Precinct 1 when the suspects reportedly took their cellphone and P100 in cash.

Nevertheless, Bacolod City police director Senior Supt. Pedro Merced said he has instructed Fortaleza to file robbery charges against the suspects before the City Prosecutor's Office.

On Monday, the two deaf-mute women, aged 17 and 21, reported to Police Precinct 1 that two unidentified persons brought them near the seawall in Brgy. 35, and raped them.

The Police Precinct 1 hired a sign language interpreter to understand the complainants' allegation, police reports said.*DMG
