Tourism Secretary Ace Durano will launch the Negros Island Tourism Inc., March 6, at the Provincial Capitol Building in Bacolod City, in the presence of government officials, industry leaders and tourism stakeholders in Negros Occidental, and with Gov. Joseph Marañon delivering the keynote address, a press release from organizers said.

The NITI will hold office at the Ground Floor of the Bacolod Convention Plaza Hotel, and aims to bring together all local tourism sectors and promote the province in the convention and leisure markets.

Among those expected to attend the launching are officials of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development for Sustainable Employment Program led by Martina Valhaus and Markus Ehmann, the press release said.

The SMEDSEP is a joint project of the German Technical Cooperation, Department of Trade and Industry, and the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority.
