BFP-Dumaguete in
need of super tanker
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The chief of the Dumaguete City Bureau of Fire Protection is reiterating his request for a super tanker as Fire Prevention Month celebration started yesterday in the city.

Fire Marshal C/Insp. Ranulfo Sayson said the department has no funds to buy the tanker, and requested for it from the city government and the second congressional district office.

Several activities have been lined up for the observation of fire prevention month, and they include fire drill exercises in various schools in the city.

Sayson said his office has acquired a 1,060-galloon 1976 model fire truck from Tagbilaran City.

He said he also plans to put up a substation in the central district and that he was instructed by BFP regional director Sr./Supt. Victoriano Remedio to place the fire substation in Barangay Taclobo, at the former Teves Memorial Hospital owned by Rep. Emilio Macias II.*JG
