Appliance store robbed

An appliance center was ransacked by a still unidentified person who took several valuable items from the establishment located at Locsin Street in Bacolod City at about 8 a.m. yesterday.

Anthony Nawalrai Amarnane, 40, owner of the Amar Emporium at Locsin Street and his employee, Mitchy Castillo, reported to Police Precinct 1 that an unidentified person broke into the establishment and took P15,000 in cash, a Nokia 3315 cellphone with undetermined amount of cellphone load, police reports said.

The suspect reportedly destroyed a portion of the roof to gain entrance and exit. The culprit then opened the roll-up door of the warehouse where the items were kept, police reports said.

Meanwhile, unidentified persons reportedly broke into a house for sale at Alunan Avenue in Brgy. 36, also in the city, and stole several structural materials at about 10 a.m. Sunday.

Houseowner Ernesto Noble of Brgy. Gargato, Sitio Punong, Hinigaran town in Negros Occidental, reported to the Bacolod police that the suspects stole several sets of window jalousies, plywood, electrical wiring and other items worth about P100,000, police reports said.

Recovered from the house were a pair of sandals, a pair of red slippers, long nose and pliers believed left by the robbers.*DMG
