2 women lose cash, cellphones
BY RENE GENOVE

Two women lost their cellphones and P11,000 in cash that they kept in the U-box of their parked motorcycle while they were swimming at Martesan beach in Bacong, Oriental Negros, Wednesday last week.

Up to press time yesterday, the Bacong police had not yet found any lead on the thief who took the Nokia 6610 and 2100 cellphones and the money of victims Rossel Cimafranca, 23, of Brgy. Tabuctubig and Janchie Ortega, 18, of Brgy. Pulantubig, Dumaguete City, in the afternoon of February 22.

The two victims said they had gone to Martesan beach for fresh air, but later decided to swim.

Before doing so, they placed their cellphones and money inside the U-box, but when they got back after about 45 minutes and checked their parked motorcycle, they discovered that the box had been opened and their cellphones and money were gone.*RG
