OPSI confab set

The Outreach Program for the Sugar Industry Inc. will hold its 7th National Convention at Grand Regal Hotel in Bacolod City on June 22 to 23, a press release from organizers said.

This year's convention theme is "Alternative Farming Practices For a New Sugarcane Industry."

It will feature talks on organic farming, trash management/utilization, vermi-composting and muscovado sugar production, the press release said.

Registration fee is P1,200 inclusive of convention kit, lunch and snacks, souvenir program and fellowship/cocktail pass.

OPSI Alumni Foundation president Ferdinand Emmanuel Gayoles is encouraging his fellow alumni to attend and renew ties with OPSI graduates and friends, the press release added.*
