Official facing acts of
lasciviousness raps posts bail

A kagawad of Brgy. Nalundan, Bindoy, Oriental Negros, is now temporarily out of jail after he posted P12,000 in bail following his arrest recently for charges of acts of lasciviousness.

Police identified the suspect as Crispiniano Abanto, 36, married and a businessman. Police arrested Abanto on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued January 16 by Judge Romeo Anasario of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court in Bindoy.

Meanwhile, in Sitio Palali-1, Barangay San Isidro, Pamplona, Oriental Negros, police operatives together with barangay officials of Banawe on board a service patrol jeep verified a report of a cadaver found in a creek in the farm owned by Antonio Quizel, about 50 meters away from his nipa hut.

The body was identified by Barangay Banawe kagawad Conchita dela Cruz as that of her missing father, Patrocinio Casile.

The cause of death is still under investigation. In the municipality of Sibulan, a housewife found her husband dead after he reportedly hanged himself with a nylon rope inside his hut in Brgy. Ajong.

Police ruled out foul play.*
