Seven hundred forty alleged expired HIV and pregnancy test kits were confiscated by the Bacolod City Anti-Illegal Drug Special Operation Task Group operatives from the Medisense Laboratory Center Inc. at the AU and Sons Building at Burgos-Locsin streets in Bacolod City yesterday.

Armed with a search warrant issued by Judge Napoleon Diamante of the Municipal Trial Court in Cities, Branch 3, the CAIDSOTG operatives led by SPO4 Ernesto Gonzales swooped down on the laboratory clinic managed by Pakistani Arshand Syeed Hussain and Ma. Luisa Monserate from noon to 1:30 p.m. yesterday, a police report said.

Recovered were 10 boxes of ACON HIV-test kits containing 40 pregnancy kits each, three plastic packs of ACON pregnancy tests kits and 31 stubs of Complete Medical Examination Tests at door No. 1. moremoremore

The Professional Regulations Commission and the Board of Nursing should release the nursing board exam results of the about 460 West Negros College graduates immediately, Bro. Rolando Dizon, former chairman of the Commission on Higher Education, said yesterday.

WNC nursing graduates who passed the exam were unable to take their oaths at rites in Iloilo City Wednesday because of the non- release of their results.

The PRC should not have allowed the WNC nursing graduates to take the exam if they were going to withhold the results, Dizon said. moremoremore

Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao comes home this morning to the waiting arms of a nation wanting to embrace him for his heroic performance in the United States, where he demolished Mexican legend Erik Morales and united the country, even for just a few hours Sunday.

The Manila government has prepared a ticker tape parade for Pacquiao, who will pay a courtesy call on President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in Malacaņang at 9:30 a.m.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia, who watched the Pacquiao-Morales rematch at the Thomas and Mack Center, and the Filipino boxing sensation are on the same Philippine Airlines flight from Las Vegas that arrives in Manila at about 4 a.m. moremoremore
