Volley tilt draws 17 schools

Seventeen squads will be vying for the crown of the NOPSSCEA 10-Under volleyball tournament that unfolds Saturday at the University of St. La Salle College Covered Court in Bacolod City.

Eleven teams will be jousting for the championship in the girls' category, while six schools have fielded their squads in the boys' division to battle for the title.

Reigning girls' titlist Bacolod Tay Tung High Schools will play in Bracket A in the elimination round against volleybelles from Queen of Peace School, St. John's Institute-B, USLS-A and University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos.

The Bracket B teams are composed of SJI-A, Trinity Christian School, USLS-B, Mansilingan Christian Academy, SJI-C and St. Augustine International School.

Defending champion Queen of Peace School-A will compete in Bracket A of the boys' category against UNO-R Bacolod and QPS-B. The Bracket B squads that will be eyeing for the crown are BTTHS, St. Theresita's Academy and SAIS.

Other events that are lined up in the 10-Under hostilities are boys and girls' athletics and chess, and boys' basketball and football.*CIT
