The Confederal Dance Ensemble continues to perform a series of variety shows in different establishments in Bacolod City, and is accepting on-call invitations for certain occasions, a press release from the group said yesterday.

The group is a regular guest performer at various clubs and restaurants such as Natures Village, Palmas del Mar, The Taberna, Casino Filipino Hotel and Taiki Seafood.

They regularly perform at ABS-CBN "Sabado Barkada" variety show on Saturdays, and at Saltimboca Bar and Restaurant and Sipango Latin Bar every Friday and Saturday night, respectively.

Wild duck rescued
in E.B. Magalona

The Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office of E.B. Magalona in Negros Occidental rescued a wild Wandering Whistling- Duck (Dendrocygna arcuata), together with its 12 newly hatched chicks, from a resident of Had. Chiquita, Brgy. Tuburan, a press release from the town said yesterday.

The wild ducks wandering around a bamboo tree were captured by a boy in the area.

Although the wild duck does not belong to endangered species, it was placed temporarily in the custody of the MENRO for proper documentation. It was later on released to the wild.

The rescue of the duck showed that E.B. Magalona residents have reached a level of awareness regarding the conservation and protection of wildlife, the press release added.*
