Money changer Helen Aguadilla tagged by the police as the alleged
"mastermind" in the death of an 18-year-old guest relations officer
near a motel in Brgy. Alijis, Bacolod City, on Dec. 19, in her counter
affidavit yesterday vehemently denied the accusation against her,
saying they were all fabricated and concocted to humiliate her.
Aguadilla's husband, Ceasar, and six other persons also submitted
their counter-affidavits supporting her denial of the murder complaint
filed against her and four others.
Aguadilla's legal counsel Lindy Diona submitted the counter-affidavits
before the City Prosecutor's Office yesterday.
Aguadilla, in her counter-affidavit, vehemently denied having
threatened Irene Dela Peņa, the slain GRO, of Libertad Extension,
Brgy. 40, in the latter's residence. She said she even tried to
ignore rumors about her husband's affair with Dela Peņa in the latter
part of September 2005.
She also denied the allegation of Sandy Biaco, stepfather
of Dela Peņa and, Lira Decendario, that she planned to have Dela
Peņa and her husband killed.
Aguadilla, in her affidavit said Biaco and Decendario have
to fabricate and concoct the series of incidents in order to implicate
her in the killing of Dela Peņa to humiliate and intimidate her
to finally succumb to the "extortion plot" Biaco hatched.
Dela Peņa died at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional
Hospital two weeks and three days after she was stabbed in Brgy.
Alijis by a 15-year-old boy on December 19.
The 15-year-old assailant of Dela Peņa surrendered on Christmas
day last year, followed by another 15-year-old boy and a 17-year-old
boy who were released after their reglamentary periods lapsed. Aside
from Aguadilla, a certain Roming Calalang, alias "Kompol" was also
included in the murder charges after he was pinpointed by eyewitnesses
as having allegedly transacted with the assailant to kill Dela Peņa.*DMG
