Roads leading to two Gawad Kalinga housing sites of the Couples for Christ will be developed with financial assistance from APEC Partylist Rep. Sunny Rose Madamba. A special allotment release order for P500,000 each for the GK 1 and GK 2 housing sites under the initiative of Madamba was received by Banilad barangay captain Jose Pino, Vice Mayor William Ablong said.

The other P500,000 allotment is intended for the GK 2 site in Barangay Bajumpandan.

The city planning and city legal office are coordinating with the Couples for Christ in preparation for the road construction.

Lot owners whose properties are affected by the project have already signified their intention to donate portion of their properties.

One of them is Geranth Rosales whose family donated the 1,000 square meter lot of GK 1.

An additional 709 square meter lot is being donated by the family for the road project.*JG
