Milo marathon list-up in
Dumaguete begins

Registration forms for the 30th National Milo Marathon slated Feb. 19 in Dumaguete City will be given starting today at the Kiwanis Stage, Quezon Park, Dumaguete.

The race is slated 6 a.m. Feb. 19 and is divided into three categories: 3 km Kiddie Run, 5 km Fun Run and 21 km Marathon.

The 3 km kiddie run category is open to children 12 years and below on the day of the race. A non-refundable entry fee of P30 plus one 300 grams Milo empty pack upon registration will be required from participants. The winners up to 10th place will receive cash and trophy.

The 5 km fun run is open to everyone who will be required to pay a non-refundable entry fee of P40 and present one 300 grams Milo empty pack and a duly accomplished official entry form upon registration.

The winners will receive cash and a trophy, up to the 10th place finishers.

The 21 km Marathon is open to 18 years old and above participants on the day of the race. An entry fee of P100 plus one 300 grams Milo empty pack and duly accomplished entry form upon registration will be required. The winners up to 10th placers will receive cash plus trophy.

The route of the race will start in front of the City Hall to Batinguel road up to Balugo-Valencia area, and return back to the city streets.

The top three male and female finishers in the 21-K Marathon Run will represent the city and the province to the national finals slated Dec. 10, 2006 with an all expense paid round trip to Manila including food, billeting, and running shorts.

All runners will receive their Milo T-shirt, race number and a certificate of participation upon registration.*RG
