Fastcraft hits port

A fastcraft in Bacolod City was slightly damaged after hitting a portion of the Bacolod Real Estate Development Corp. port while docking at noon yesterday, causing one of its trips to be cancelled.

The 1 p.m. trip of the Weesam Express 1 from Bacolod to Iloilo City was cancelled yesterday after the sea vessel's throttle bolt got stuck, Weesam Express manager Butch Carbon told the DAILY STAR yesterday.

Carbon said the vessel did not have any engine trouble and only sustained "very minor damage".

The impact of the blow did not cause panic to the passengers and none were injured, he assured

Weesam Express resumed its trips after the Coast Guard checked the condition of the fastcraft to secure the safety of its passengers.*DMG
