A parking attendant was killed, while his three companions escaped unscathed when they were attacked by four armed unidentified teenagers Tuesday dawn while they were resting along Taft Street, Dumaguete City.

Police identified the victim as Aries Pamatian, 18, single of Purok Kamaisan, Brgy. Bajumpandan, who succumbed to multiple wounds on the chest and waist.

The slain teenager and his companions Darwin Kinikito, John Olitris and Mike Lapiado are tending motorcycles at the parking area of Holy Child Hospital. Kinikito said he and his three companions including Pamatian were sitting on a wooden bench near the Sto. Niņo Drug store along Taft Street when the four male teenagers appeared.

They then questioned the parking attendants why and what they were doing in the area.

But even before the victims could answer, the four teenagers pulled out their knives and icepick and attacked the young men.

Kinkito, Olitris, and Lapiado ran for safety, but Pamatian failed to follow his fleeing companions and was overwhelmed by the attackers.

Policemen, responding to calls for help, found none of the attackers at the scene except for Pamatian who was bleeding from stab wounds, on the pavement. The teenager died on the way to the hospital.* --
