Negros athletes joining
national Prisaa Games

Majority of the Negros athletes who will see action for Western Visayas in the National Private Schools and Sports Association Games in Pangasinan are already sure to join the event, WV PRISAA athletic manager Roger Banzuela said yesterday.

A number of University of St. La Salle athletes, though, are still uncertain of their participation in the national tilt because they are the graduating students who will be having their examinations and some have academic problems, Banzuela said.

The La Sallians, who are set to banner five out of the nine Negros teams representing Region VI, are still negotiating with their teachers to have a chance to play during the national hostilities, Banzuela, who is also the USLS sports director, added.

City Hall to feature
Pacquiao-Morales tiff

The Bacolod City local government is inviting everyone to witness the rematch between Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales at 8 a.m. at the Bacolod City Hall parking lot Sunday.

The Pacquiao-Morales rematch in Las Vegas will also be showcased in the Burgos, Libertad and Central Markets at 9 a.m.

Liaison-coordinator Nelson Sedillo and the Public Information Office contacted Dream TV to feature the bout at the Bacolod City Hall parking lot, while Skycable has been tapped to showcase the Pacquia-Morales clash in the three markets.
