Fitness expert Marie Roxanne "Plinky" Recto yesterday said she misses her baby very much and will continue her fight to get him back from her former Negrense lover no matter what accusations he hurls against her.

"The father of my child forgets that I am Batangueña and I know how to fight, and above that I am a Recto and we don't back down, tuloy ang laban (the fight will continue) until I can get my son," she said at a press conference at the Business Inn in Bacolod City yesterday morning.

Cops arrest
suspected bag snatcher

A suspected bag snatcher was apprehended at his residence at Calong-Calong, Brgy. Singcang-Airport in Bacolod City, a few hours after a schoolteacher reported that her bag was taken by two unidentified persons near a gasoline station a few meters away from the Bacolod City police headquarters in Brgy. Taculing at about 5 a.m. yesterday.

The Bacolod police arrested Sherwin Sayson Ruiz, 30, married, of Calong-Calong, Zone 2, Brgy. Singcang-Airport after he was positively identified by complainant Susanita Guiljon of Purok Yanson, Eroreco Subdivision, Brgy. Mandalagan, as one of the persons who snatched her bag at Gelesani Drive, Purok Tapulanga in Brgy. Taculing, Senior Supt. Pedro Merced, Bacolod City police director, said yesterday. moremoremore

'All NEA recommended sanctions
should be imposed by VRESCO'

Third District Board Member Reynaldo Depasucat yesterday said he believes that the recommendations of the National Electrification Administration to impose sanctions on VRESCO officers and employees involved in questionable dealings should be implemented.

"I read the NEA decision. It must be implemented," Depasucat, whose jurisdiction includes a town and a city under VRESCO, told the DAILY STAR yesterday.

Depasucat said he will take an action on the VRESCO issue in the coming weeks, but did not elaborate on what he will do. moremoremore
