A Murcia couple were wounded when they were allegedly hacked by
their neighbor after an altercation at Purok Rizal, Murcia town,
Negros Occidental at about 6 a.m. yesterday.
Ernesto Cebullen, 38, and his wife, Sandra, 37, were rushed
to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital in
Bacolod City with hack wounds allegedly inflicted by Danilo Caranso
who surrendered to the Murcia PNP yesterday, hospital reports said.
Ernesto sustained a hack wound in his head while Sandra bore
a stab wound in her abdomen, Rosana Parreño, 47, sister of Sandra
told the DAILY STAR yesterday.
Parreño said the altercation started when Caranso reportedly
destroyed the basketball ring near the residence of the Cebullens
Sunday.
The altercation was seconded yesterday when Caranso complained
why Ernesto placed his garbage near the suspect's residence, Parreño
said.
She said Ernesto went inside his house and took a batangueño
knife and allegedly attacked Caranso who managed to get a bolo and
hacked Ernesto in the head.
Parreño said Sandra attempted to help his husband, however,
she was hit with a bolo in the abdomen.
Meanwhile, trisikad driver Rico Ricopuerto, 37, was also rushed
to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital with
gunshot wound in the lower right portion of his jaw allegedly inflicted

Police reports said Myles was watching television when Rico,
who was under the influence of intoxicating liquor, arrived in their
house and challenged everyone to a fistfight.
A sudden gunfire was heard and the body of the older Ricopuerto
was found lying on the ground, which prompted his family members
to rush him at the CLMMRH, while the younger Ricopuerto managed
