The Sunshine Channel 14, the newest cable television channel in
Bacolod City, will have its inaugural cablecast over the SkyCable
at 4 p.m. Saturday.
The Sunshine Channel is operated and managed by Prime Exponent
Entertainment Network Inc. chaired by Primo E. Esleyer.
Aimed at providing the viewing public with quality and balanced
programs, the Sunshine Channel will broadcast live form its studios
located at the second floor of MBL Building, Lacson Street, Bacolod
City.
Expected to attend the launching ceremony are Gov. Joseph
Maraņon, Bacolod Rep. Monico Puentevella, Rep. Ignacio Arroyo (Neg.
Occ. 5th district), Vice Gov. Isidro Zayco, Bacolod Mayor Evelio
Leonardia, Talisay Mayor Anthony Lizares, businessman Ricardo Yanson
and other personalities. The ceremony, which will be on live cablecast,
starts at 4 p.m.
Amado Villacarlos, network managing director, said the inaugural
ceremony will also serve as the launching of the different programs
of the channel during which program-hosts will be introduced.
Among its programs are Spotlites - Tootsie Jimenez; Crossline
- Joel Dojillo; Sports in Focus - Partner Ed Cruz; Primetime - John
Elmer Ubaldo; G-mixx - Gina Pineda; The Best of 'K' - Ann Marie
Palermo; Something Special - Elsie Jolingan; The She Factor - Jocelle
Batapa-Sigue; Anything Goes - Cossette Villaluz; Espaņol Para Todos
- Gilda Puey-Locsin; Dateline Negros - Ed Deocades; Mr. Ben - Ben
Ferrer; Musically Yours - Cossette and Bagguer Villaluz; and Isyu
Halo-Halo Espesyal of Paul Miasis, Rey Alejandrino, Dinah Martinez
and Art Tayhopon, and Feedback by Primo Esleyer.
Villacarlos said the Sunshine Channel will also come up with local
news and advocacy programs.*
