P462,500 in electrical
wires stolen: CEO

The Bacolod City Engineer's Office reported a total of P462,500 in stolen electrical wires from Tourism lights in Bacolod City last year.

The CEO based its report on police blotter entries covering different areas in the city from March to Dec. 2005.

City Administrator Lorendo Dilag yesterday said the theft of electrical wires is one of the problems confronting the city. He said he will call for a conference with the CEO and the Bacolod City Police Office today to look for measures to address the problem.

Meanwhile, Dilag said he will hold a caucus today with the barangay captains at the ABC Hall in San Juan St. to discuss matters related to the Solid Waste Management program in the barangays.*CGS
