A cock farm watchman yesterday claimed he was almost salvaged by alleged members of the Revolutionary Proletarian Army-Alex Boncayao Brigade in Murcia, Negros Occidental, on suspicions that he was a thief.

Complainant Elmer Toreja, alias Dodoy, who sought refuge at the Murcia Police Station, alleged that he taken at gunpoint by about 10 to 12 RPA members led by a certain Joshua from the cock farm of Newton Flores, on Wednesday night in Brgy. Alegria, Murcia.

Toreja, in his sworn statement, said he was brought and subjected to interrogations by his abductors to Sitio Cabulutongan, Brgy. Alangilan, Bacolod City, for the series of ransacking of gamefowl farms in Murcia and Bacolod City, Murcia police chief Simeon Gane said.

While undergoing tactical interrogation, Toreja, in an interview with Bombo Radyo, also claimed he was also mauled and hit with a rifle by his abductors. He however said he was able to escape from his abductors and was not hit even when they fired at him.

Gane said Toreja who was previously charged and convicted for theft and illegal possession of firearms, had already served his sentence and managed to work in the cock farm of Flores in Brgy. Alegria, Murcia later.

Gane said they are preparing criminal complaints against the suspects.*GPB
